TaskBarX Configurator, don't open

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to 'TaskbarX_1.6.9.0_x64'
2. Click on 'TaskbarX Configurator.exe'
3. Don't open

Information Desktop :

• OS: Windows 10 1909
• Version TaskbarX 1.6.9.0

before that open TaskbarX Configurator.application then click install and it should work

I'm facing the same issue. And whenever I try installing it using the TaskbarX Configurator.application I get the following error: "Cannot download the application. The application is missing required files. Contact application vendor for assistance.".

I was using an earlier version of the app and uninstalled it after facing some issues with it's icon being blank on the taskbar, but the configurator was working just fine.

Edit: I've downloaded the version 1.6.7.0 zip and the settings app is working fine, save for a few missing icons. The 1.6.8.0 version isn't working either.

Neither the configurator nor the "TaskbarX Configurator.application" are working for me on version 1.7.0.0 either.

I had the same issue. The problem was I was opening the file with "application manifest" type instead of the "application" type. Opening the file with application type should work properly

To be able to focus on major/current bugs I had to close all issues. The issues section has gotten very messy to a point that I couldn't follow it anymore. Most issues are duplicates, very old or are already fixed/solved. Feel free to reopen this issue if you still have this issue on the latest version of TaskbarX to get my attention.
