initial loading issue

When print is started, it goes through its cycle, heat bed, extruder, home, z-tilt, bed-mesh, final extruder temp, then ercf load cycle.
when filament is getting loaded down into extruder, extruder stepper goes bunkers. When I manually load/unload filament, there are no issues. This only happens during print cycle. I am thinking maybe it has something to do with slicer, but I don't see any issues with slicer. has anyone had encounter this issue?
