How do I use advanced features like Json_insert during Inserts?

Need a way to do advanced feature like json_insert during Inserting rows or updating rows.

Also need a way to use these features during data extraction. As of now, predicate can be changed by mentioning where condition, is there a way to modify the column selection itself using any of the built-in functions?
