This claims provider allows to set up SharePoint permissions based on Department user property from Active Directory domain. Departments are Company sensitive. The provider can be utilized by SharePoint web application with Claims-based authentication enabled. Supports Forms (with AD membership provider) and Windows Authentication.

The solution was initially created for SharePoint 2010 but should work for later versions too.
