Power Menu

Menu features of the emulator can be configured. Also there are utilities to make it easier to use. The power Menu helps with this.

(The reason why it is called "power" menu, is because it was inspired by power-cartridge)

Enter the menu

The menu can be entered with either F9 or "TAB" key. F9 was chosen, since the C64 does not have a F9 key. Tab was chosen for the same reason, but also some keyboards have awkward way to access the function keys. Like "FN" + "F9".

Navigate the menu

  • Up, Down, Enter and Escape are used to navigate the menu.
  • Up and Down to select an option, or submenu.
  • Enter to activate or enter it.
  • Escape to leave current (sub) menu.
  • Tab/F9 to leave the power menu, without exiting the submenu.

The main menus

  • Basic - View or format your basic listing
  • Virtual Disk - Browse / load / delete / create virtual disks
  • Import - Import and Export files from you computer
  • Clipboard - Copy and Paste listings
  • Settings and Docs - Change the default behaviour of the emulator and link to the documentation
  • Tools - Generate program URLs to share on social media
  • Reset - Hard reset the emulator

What about the mouse?

There is no mouse support for the Power Menu. Maybe in a later version. But right now efforts are to make the Commodore 64 - Basic, experience authentic. And that means, keyboard only.
