Setting temperature with 0.5º steps instead of 1.0º

How can I change a setting that the steps between setting temperature is 0.5º and not 1.0º? I want to be able to set it to 20.5º for example but I can only set it to 20.0º or 21.0º

Would be a nice feature. Steps of 0.1C for taget Temperatur is a way to small, and makes it impossible to use the slider. And from my point of view it’s not necessary anyway because most TRVs have only an internal tolerance of 0,2 up to 0,5 for target temperature so.

so 0,5 I would recommend, or even selectable by the user.

You can do this in customize.yaml

Do I have to enter here the TRV (so the original hardware climate.org and not the climate.org_better thermostat.
Because I have the problem that I can set with the BETTER_UI 0.1 degrees steps and the
thermostat can only accept 1.0 degree steps.

I cannot find the customize.yaml file with file editor. Where is it located? I wounder where the config on better thermostat is. When I go Development Settings -> States I can see "target_temp_step" configured. But there is no config yaml anyehere ont he systemw here it is set. I am confused....

Yes, the value is taken from the TRV.

Okay. Cool will try that. My Z-Zave TRVs have an 0.5 step but it isn’t recognized by BT.

There is a page in the HomeAssistant forum/FAQ explaining customize.

You either put it directly in configuration.yaml or set an include customize,yaml thre and create the file to be included and put it there.
