How do I get MiKTeX to save my font choice?

I'm getting old, so when I enter MiKTeX I enlarge the default font (and pick Consolas because it slashes its zeroes). But the next time I fire up MiKTeX it's back to the old font. Is this a known problem? Do I just have to put up with it, changing the Font again every time I start a new session?

I'm brand new to LaTeX—downloaded a copy only Christmas day—so although I've been hunting down documentation on the web and reading it in my spare time, it's very likely that the answer is out there and I just haven't encountered it yet.
