Hi. When I use escrotum -s -C and then capture a selection of my screen sometimes the selection square remains on the screen.
I use version 0.2.1 on Debian testing in AwesomeWM.

Same issue here with Arch linux and awesomewm.
Any ideas how to get rid of the square in the middle of my screen :-) ?
Edit: Ctrl+Super+r reloads awesome and the square is gone.

It hangs or crashes? Is there any traceback?

That's weird.. could you check if the process keeps running in the background before/after restart awesome?

Indeed there is a process running after I've used escrotum -s -C

When I kill that process, the rectangle disappears!
My statement from the last post that ctrl+super+r also removes the rectangle is not true. It just moves to the most rear layer which made me think its gone.

Can i ask you to replace this line with, pass, and try running from a terminal, so we can get some traceback?

Hi,
the pass does the trick, screenshoted section gets into clipboard but frame disappears!
