I think the Make sure Project ID is valid part is confusing. A connection can fail due to an invalid Project ID or connectivity issues on the client side. I'll revise the error message for better clarity.

Did you attempt to connect again after encountering the error?

It seems to be closed by the remote server? Is there any domain policy checking in remote server like running in browser?

Can you access walletconnect.com without VPN or any other proxy from your network?

Exactly I cannot access walletconnect.com without Vpn. Meanwhile the web WalletConnect works fine with VPN. The unity version works sometimes. I'm so confused.

WebSockets don't always work well with VPN.

There is a workaround. Unfortunately, you will need to slightly modify the source code of WalletConnectUnity to use different relay URL. In the next version it will be made configurable.

Can I run a relay server by myself?

Not yet, it's a centralised entity that connects all wallets and apps together. However, we have been working on decentralisation. You can read more about decentralised network here.

This might work. But I'd recommend you to follow the workaround and just use relay.walletconnect.org url in your app. You can think about it as about a proxy :)
