It would be great to establish design principles and standards (fonts, palette) for the work we produce. That way it's unified from the get-go and easy to bring folks in to participate. Really showing that we're thinking like a product team.

Initial thoughts:

• Default to the UK GDS Design Principles: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/government-design-principles
• Default to U.S. Web Design Standards (https://public-sans.digital.gov/)

Related:

• Fonts! Public Sans: https://public-sans.digital.gov/

As mentioned in #general, would be great to:

• Establish a design working group
• Set up simple principles/standards
• Schedule short, recurring check-ins
• Announce 'Designers for DMV' working group and how we work, how folks can get involved
• Re-design DMV
