site.cfg.example is not useful

The site.cfg.example file in the distributed tarball is almost empty, and as such does not list the possible values that should be put in there. Ideally, it would be pre-filled with explicit bindings of each option to its default value. In particular, it is not clear how to indicate a non-standard libsamplerate location.
