Badges cause delay

I like the information provided by the badges at https://github.com/dseuss/mpnum. However, 50% of the time when I open https://github.com/dseuss/mpnum one of the badges does not load instantly. Can we get rid of them or replace them by something which loads more reliably?

Hmm, I never experienced this. Any ones in particular?

RTD recently changed their caching instructions in the HTTP header to solve a problem with outdated badges due to github's caching.

Today, coverage was missing once and PyPI was missing once. I'm not sure whether it is worth worrying about though. Loading the page is not delayed anymore, badges are sometimes just missing now.

That's also the experience I had. I agree, it's probably not worth worrying about that right now. IMO, this can be closed.
