fork status: merge back or be a fork

Hi, i like this logstash-forward versionn, specially the multiline support... but i'm currently using the official version. I need to decide if i will migrate to this version

So i would like to know if there is any plan to merge this back to the official version (and if so, when) or it will be a true fork and both are now developed in parallel.
