Allow persistent memory between plugin invocations

Currently we throw away all guest memory between invocations to the plugin. This is to avoid data leakage between invocations which can be a concern in some situations. This is undesirable in other situations however, so we should allow users to opt out of this behavior and use persistent memory instead.
