You question arrived in my inbox just after I upgraded to 23.04, so I can mo longer assist with the previous release, but the issue persists.

It wont even start from the menu. I have to start it from the command line.

I have tried to replicate it on a clean install of KUbuntu 23.04 and 22.10, but I couldn't reproduce the problem. It is possible that the issue is related to your installation. It looks like there are some issues with rendering the .svg images.

I did a clean system install on 2023-03-13, so it shouldn't be to different.

Can you please provide me with the output of dpkg --get-selections on your clean install of Kubuntu 23.04 that works for you, so I can compare it with my dirtier list and see if anything is missing?

I found some SVG images on my hard drive and they rendered without issue in Dolphin and Gwenview, so not sure why it isn't rendering properly in game.
