Code of Conduct for the Ufscar Repository

Our Commitment

The purpose of this repository is to create an inclusive and collaborative environment where all contributors feel welcome, valued, and respected. To uphold this commitment, we, as community members, agree to adhere to this Code of Conduct in all interactions within this repository.

Expected Behavior

We expect all contributors to:

  • Be respectful and courteous to others, regardless of their identity, experience, ability, gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, religion, or any other personal characteristic.
  • Use inclusive language and avoid harmful behaviors such as harassment, discrimination, offensive language, or other inappropriate conduct.
  • Respect the opinions and perspectives of others, even if they disagree.
  • Be open to constructive criticism and feedback and respond positively and constructively.
  • Focus on problem-solving and improving the repository and the community as a whole.

Unacceptable Behavior

Unacceptable behaviors include, but are not limited to:

  • Harassment, discrimination, or intimidation in any form.
  • Derogatory comments, insults, or offensive language.
  • Trolling, provocation, or personal attacks.
  • Posting private or sensitive information about other contributors without their permission.
  • Any form of unethical or dishonest behavior.
  • Any other behavior that is harmful, disrespectful, or uncooperative.

Actions in Response to Unacceptable Behavior

If you observe or are a victim of unacceptable behavior within this repository, please report it immediately to the repository administrators. All complaints will be handled with due confidentiality and seriousness. Administrators reserve the right to take appropriate actions, which may include the removal of comments, issues, or pull requests, as well as the suspension or banning of contributors who do not adhere to this Code of Conduct.

Note on Repository Intent

This repository is intended for the sharing of knowledge and resources related to academic pursuits. It is not intended for the direct copying and pasting of code or materials for assignments or assessments. Contributors are encouraged to use the information and code as a reference and learning tool, rather than for academic dishonesty.
