"Something wrong with the database: bun_r table" error (pre-processing interruption)

Hi there, hello,

I am working as produktmanagerassistant at a new webportal which is created new for selling new cars.

• Now we need to research all 'words' in a table 'car-description' to resolve issue with data-quality

I.. We would be very grateful for help:
as soon as I use an othr targetfile as described in folder tutorial_en KH-Koder3 interrupt the Pre-Processing.

Manifestation of my Problem is:

KH-Koder3 interrupt the Pre-Processing in several ways:

- tried1)

if I use my original db-extracted long „targetfile_part_1_of_x.txt“ with thousands of lines and realy long cell-content as descriptiontext

- tried2)

if I use an export from Libre-office as *.xls

- tried3)

as *.csv kh-coder3 will not open it

What I can say about the original targetfile_part_1_of_x.txt is:

• is *.txt > 16MB
• I am working as produktmanagerassistant at a new webportal which is created new for selling new cars.
  -- Now we need to research all 'words' in a table 'car-description'
  --- this table is filled by cardealer and they fill this table with strings as they want, e.g: CopyPaste from long word.doc or such)

what I did with kh.coder3 is:

- tried1)

new project with original db-extracted long „targetfile_part_1_of_x.txt“
-- but in Console of KHCoder comes such:

Why did you think the preprocessing interrupted?

This is not an error. This is just a warning. You can ignore it. You may just have to wait for the pre-processing to complete.

Some European versions of Excel / Libre Office separates fields of CSV files by semicolon “;”. Please open your *.csv file and check the separator character. Is it semicolon “;” or comma “,”? KH Coder can only handle *.csv files separated by comma “,”.

If your Excel / Libre Office uses semicolon “;”, please save the file as tab-delimited file (*.tsv). KH Coder should be able to open *.tsv files.

So I did new preprocessing with new exportet targetfile_part_1_of_x.txt safed as *.xls
And KH Coder run until.. KH Coder stopped again with alert="Problem with with database: bun_r table.

because of missunderstandings I want to tell you:

• I think I have to open *.txt without Separator-option (fixed) as u can see at [first picture] above in initial post.

-- because: If I would follow your advice to use separator "," the dealers car-descriptions will no longer be listed as ONE description-text per cell... The description-text would be separated over xxx columns in CSV... Would that be not wrong in respect of: text-analysis?

About the “Something wrong” error, please try deleting invisible / control characters using “clean” function of Excel.

Sorry, I don’t understand German language.

KH Coder can’t open fixed-length-column (Feste Breite) files. It can open only comma-delimited or tab-delimited files. I recommend using tab, not comma.
