Must specify "lemma" in coding rules / Counting documents not words in coding functionalities

Dear Professor,
I am using Kh Koder version 3.Alpha.15f on Windows 10, I want to use a predefined code:

*shopping_malls
<*VenusFort_mall> | <*Aquacity_Mall> | <*Divercity_mall> | <*Decks_Tokyo_Beach_Mall> | Shopping+malls

Separate codes are as follows: 

*Divercity_mall
Divercity+mall | Divercity+Tokyo+Plaza | Divercity | Diversity | Diversity+mall 

*Aquacity_Mall
Aquacity+Odaiba | Aquacity+Odaiba+mall | Aquacity+mall | Aquacity | Aqua+city+Odaiba | Aqua+city

*Decks_Tokyo_Beach_Mall
Decks+Tokyo | Decks+Tokyo+mall | Decks+mall | Decks 

*VenusFort_mall
Venus+Fort | Palette+Town | Venus+Fort+mall | Venusfort 

The problem is that the words Shopping malls in the excel file doesn't count under the code *shopping_malls, besides the code *shopping_malls doesn't have the accurate addition of the 4 previous shopping malls.

I would be thankful if you could help me.

Would you follow this procedure?

1. Open the project and go to "PRe-Processing", "Check the result of Word Extraction" in the menu
2. Enter "Shopping malls" and click "Search" button
3. Double click a result line to open a "details" window
4. Post a screenshot of the "details" window here

In coding rules, you need to specify "lemma" of the word.

Please enter "Shopping+mall", not "Shopping+malls".

Thank you, professor, issue solved and counted, but the code *shopping_mall doesn't have the exact sum of the 4 values of the separated code (Less than the true value). Am I doing anything wrong?
for example:
In Part 1: *Divercity_mall = 4 *Aquacity_Mall=5 *Decks_Tokyo_Beach_Mall=6 *VenusFort_mall=8
but the *shopping_malls code= 14

That's normal if there are documents given more than one code.

One document can contain both *Divercity_mall and *Aquacity_Mall for example. This document is counted as "2" if you compute sum of those 4 codes. But this document is counted as "1" of *shopping_malls. In the coding menu, we are counting the number of documents that meet the coding conditions.

You can use "export document-code matrix" command to check precisely.

that means I can not generate a bubble crosstab with the exact code counting?

“Code” in KH Coder is a binary variable of 1 or 0 that indicates whether the coding rule matches the document or not. In other words, coding is not for counting word, but for counting document that matches the coding rule. In this meaning, you can get exact code counting and plots.

Anyway, how about selecting smaller coding unit like “sentences”. The smaller the coding unit is, the less unit (or documents) contain multiple codes. The number of sentences containing word A would be something close to the number of appearances of word A.
