Just to be precise, the NW228 has a size of 1Gb, in the specification the size is specified as 8Gb(its), so it needs to be divided by 8.
For example, TE OP-1 uses NW189 (MT29F4G08ABBDAH4) and it is half as that, the documentation says 4Gb(its), actually 512Mb. I read a dump and I know for sure.
