Overwatch crashes short after the round starts

I use the installer script on lutris and the games installs and opens fine, but the game just freezes short after a round starts.
OS: Pop_OS! 22.04
Hardware: AMD cpu 5700x and AMD gpu rx 6600.
All drivers up to date.

Overwatch 2 requires special attention and doesn't work out of the box like Overwatch 1 did for most people. It was solved in the Lutris discord server. See the instructions in this gist: https://gist.github.com/ryleu/aaef41c71dddd612c6bcf118c7870149

@ maintainers, would it make sense to add a link to this and/or update the Overwatch docs entirely, since Overwatch 1 doesn't exist anymore (has been fully replaced by Overwatch 2)?
