By the way, this is the text that's here (for feature requests) by default, I've been on the IRC for an hour or two and got no reply. I'll not sit in an IRC for hours on end, just to wait for an answer to arrive. I sincerely suggest moving to something like Discord or Matrix for that matter or just use GitHub for feature requests, what's the harm in that?!

Feature requests are discussed on the dedicated IRC channel #filestash on libera.chat which you can access
either from your favorite IRC client or https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/#irc://irc.libera.chat/#filestash?nick=guest??

Getting to the point: I'd love the option to select multiple files and folders by holding shift while selecting them, just like in any other file explorer. When you got files a, b, c, d, e and I select b first and then hold shift to select d, it'll select b, c and d. Holding Ctrl just to select multiple items is tedious and just annoying, if it's for deleting or downloading or whatever kind of use case.

That's all I'm looking for and it would make my life a LOT easier. Thanks in advance 😄

@mickael-kerjean will this be a welcome contribution?

That's already covered in the big rewrite and the code is available here but the big rewrite isn't ready for release yet. To start using it, you need to start Filestash with the env variable set like this: "CANARY=true"

A big rewrite? That sounds exciting!

I'll not use this in production but am about to deploy a server for tests where I could see this happening :)

I will take it into consideration, thanks for update!

Also feel free to close this issue if that makes it easier for you to keep track 👍
