Describe requirements

With the growing use of sUAS in US&R, it is time to add UAS Launch and Recovery as a dropdown under Event Point (Logistics). The good news is NWCG/NIFC have already created a standard symbol, we just need to add to our data model. I don't think we need to wait until v10 for this. Let's make sure we find out what the actual domain code is from NIFC since it was not in last year's data model.

Alternatives

For now, can use the Event Points "Other" icon.

Other Relevant Info

From OH-TF1 "I had a request from an OH regional US&R UAS user to clarify which icon they could use to mark the location of UAS LZ points. I advised him to use the "Other logs" waypoint as necessary.

Has there been discussion to add a "UAS LZ" waypoint to the Other/Support category in SARCOP? It seems like a useful icon to have especially if FEMA intends on deploying sUAS assets this hurricane season."

Thanks for the prompt Collin.

Priority impact

p0 - not time sensitive

Impact

This will become increasingly important so recommend adding immediately.
