Proposal: MicroPython / CircuitPython port #17

As discussed on Facebook, a MicroPython/CircuitPython port of the library would be useful as it will reduce the effort for developers to get started with prototypes. In this issue, we could collect useful resources and discussions.

Using the Transpiler from Arduino to Micropython idea might reduce the effort for the initial port and keeping both in sync.

The latest version of the tool seems to be here: https://github.com/ashpande/micropy-convert

It seems no longer maintained, but may help to get the first rough conversion done.

A tutorial for manual ports is here.
