It would be nice to have a timestamp included in each doc which is set to the current time for that update (new event in the case of the journal). The use case for us would be so that we can set an expiry on the collection based on the timestamp if the persistence id hasn't been updated after x time.

Hi @bdoyle0182 -

There is a timestamp component to the object id (_id field) used to insert the document into the journal. Is it possible to use that?
