Audio issues on arm64-v8a

No audio can be played.
Kitchen sink freezes then crashes if Play/Play Once clicked under Audio

Fresh install. Cold boot.
M1 Chip
Android Studio Giraffe 2023.3.1 Beta 2
Android Emulator 32.1.23

Logcat periodically prints:

Control message: Could not find '[email protected]::IOmxStore/default' for ctl.interface_start from pid: 204 (/system/bin/hwservicemanager)
Waited one second for [email protected]::IOmxStore/default
Since [email protected]::IOmxStore/default is not registered, trying to start it as a lazy HAL.
getService: Trying again for [email protected]::IOmxStore/default...
Unable to set property "ctl.interface_start" to "[email protected]::IOmxStore/default": error code: 0x20
Tried to start [email protected]::IOmxStore/default as a lazy service, but was unable to. Usually this happens when a service is not installed, but if the service is intended to be used as a lazy service, then it may be configured incorrectly.
