A 31-ET synth written in SuperCollider, controllable by a monome.

31 ET is hard to play on a linear grid like a piano, as your hand can only reach across half an octave at most. On a monome a child's hand can easily span two octaves.

Nice!

Another way to deal with the problem (when you don't have a fancy 2D instrument) is to map 12 tone subsets of 31edo and switch them while playing (like you switch accidentals on a harp with pedals).
