What if each user had a limited amount of points to give away per day. Lets for example say 10 points per user. Because of the scarcity it will be concentrated in the top comments and leave out the riff raff. This might also scale for larger communities, its just for those you might need 200 points instead of 20 points for your post to be a river bank (googling new river terminology at this point). |
Yeah I like that. However I think you should only get points when you are
online. They should be slowly generated until you hit a cap (say 10
points). We can add some sort of limiting factor to this to prevent Sybil
attacks
