IGT may also be encoded as CLDF ExampleTable, e.g. the examples of the Daakaka Dictionaria dictionary.

See pyigt for a Python implementation of this functionality.

@sylvainloiseau If I run into a R-users who want to use "our" CLDF IGT data, I might be able to put together a PR for this. Not sure if/when this might happen, though.
