Solicit user feedback in specific circumstances

It would be helpful to acquire more feedback from users.

Develop a mechanism for gathering feedback that allows users to remain anonymous (doesn't depend on email). Perhaps this could be something as simple as a pop-up that provides a sentence or two of explanatory text and then provides a text entry box. "Send" and (Close? Cancel?) buttons at the bottom. The captured text can be recorded in the usage log.

Versions of this pop-up, each with unique introductory text, might be triggered when:

• the user switches away from the app (BeforeUnload)
• the user requests multiple searches with no forward progress
• the user reaches a specific number of specific operations (Search, or Seek, File : Save, etc.)
• {other?}

It may be desirable to have a utility that extracts feedback from the log.
