Intellij IDEA Settings

Export

  • File > Settings > Repository
  • Specify URL of your Github repository
  • Click Overwrite Remote

You will need a Github access token for Github Authentication. You can create one following the instructions here: GitHub Access Token. Create a token with repo access.

Import

Option 1

  • File > Settings > Repository
  • Specify URL of your Github repository
  • Click Overwrite Local or Merge

Option 2

  • File > Settings > Tools > Settings Repository
  • Disable Auto Sync
  • VCS > Sync Settings to manually update your settings
