Notes from Alex:

"Liquid democracy scales government"

Rousseau talked about the idea of scaling the general will.

  • Alex's line: Freedom does not scale, except with liquid democracy.

"Small city states are the size where freedom can best flourish".

Start with quote by Rousseau that you can't really have big states truly democratic because of the representational ratio gets all fucked up.
