macOS Sequoia (15) #157

Wireless can be made to work by adding itlwm kext + Heliport app. https://github.com/zearp/Nucintosh/blob/master/Stuff/itlwm.kext.zip https://github.com/diepeterpan/HeliPort/releases/tag/v1.5.0 This uses the ethernet driver framework of macOS so no iCloud stuff will work and you have to connect to networks using Heliport. But it is a way to get wireless to work for now. |
Current EFI used on my test machine needs the Heliport app linked above to connect to wireless networks. |
So far so good, no more panics! |
Beta 2 installed fine using the OTA. Don't see much new other than the iPhone mirroring app which might work once AirportItlwm is working but that's a big maybe. I had some success and some issues with Sidecar on Intel but no longer have an iPad to test with. Most of the fancy features like forwarding texts and calls will not work on Intel. |
Updated to the developer beta using software update using the current release EFI with no issues other than losing wireless and bluetooth. Those two Intel kexts will need to be updated by their maintainers. Ethernet works fine. This might be the last natively supported macOS for 8th gen Intels but we'll have to wait and see next year. Still good run so far for these little boxes. Great value too, bought mine just before the pandemic at a very good price☺️
I'll keep tracking the beta builds on my stock test machine and keep an eye on OpenCore and kext development.
