How to config the config.yaml #1
Comments
Hello.
This article is pretty old, because now everything is created automatically through vpp binary api.
And unfortunately, this project has been written only as pppoe server, so if you want to use it as pppoe client you need to add such functionality. If there’d be more interest in such functionality, I can add it.
To understand config file you can refer to [1], if you understand c++ types. I didn’t write the documentation because configuration types had been changed very often, sorry about it.

Best regards,

after I run ./pppcpd, interface tap1 in vpp and interface pppoe-cp/sub in host(debian) disappeared, and a new interface tap0 turn out in host. So "pppd call dsl-provider" got a unrecognized option 'sub' error.
I got 2 physic interfaces in VPP,named 'wan' and 'lan',but in your article you didn't do any thing to the physic interface, how can it possible to connect ADSL via pppoe client.
after build the pppcpd program,it needs a config.yaml to start.I used -g to create the demo config.yaml, but when I open it,found it is hard to config it.Can you explain what do the parameters mean?

thank you for your reply. your work is great helpful for me. |
@MichaelScde did you succeed to make it work? I would be also interested in a pppoe client in order to use vpp as a home gateway |
