Network View

The default view of the data loaded by MicrobeTrace is the Network view. Immediately after loading the data, you should see a network appear on-screen. From this view, you can:

  • pan around, and zoom in and out,
  • hover over nodes to see their ID's,
  • click to select or de-select individual nodes,
  • Ctrl-click to select multiple nodes, and
  • Right-click nodes to get a context menu, allowing you to copy a node's ID or sequence (if known).

In addition to the network itself, the Network view contains a summary statistics table at the bottom-right corner of the page. This table displays the number of nodes, the visibility threshold, visible links, and number of distinct possible links.

You may adjust the display parameters. For example, nodes may be annotated with any column of the "node CSV" file and edges may be annotated with any column of the "edge CSV" file. You can change configuration options such as showing/hiding statistics, changing the friction, gravity, or charge, or background color of the network. To do this,

  1. Click "View" in the Menubar and select "Settings".
  2. Select the desired options and click "Done".
