Walkthrough

The changes involve improving the replication mechanism by forcefully updating the master server for a slave in topom_group.go due to issues with offset mismatches. Additionally, an obsolete CI build job (build_on_centos) in pika.yml has been removed, streamlining the project's build process.

Changes

Files Change Summary
codis/pkg/topom/topom_group.go Updated updateMasterToNewOne to updateMasterToNewOneForcefully to ensure master update in replication.
.github/workflows/pika.yml Removed the build_on_centos job which included setup for a CentOS mirror and various build steps.

Sequence Diagram(s)

Not applicable due to the nature of the changes which are more infrastructural and function renaming rather than introducing new features or control flows.

Assessment against linked issues

Objective Addressed Explanation
Fix the issue with sent_offset not matching acked_offset causing "slaveof ERROR" in manual failovers (#2512)
Ensure replication mechanisms are more robust against offset mismatches (#2512)

Poem

In the depths of code, where servers bind,
A master switch now forcefully aligned.
With builds on CentOS waved goodbye,
Progress races on, watch it fly!
A rabbit’s cheer, a coder’s might,
Ensuring our codestream's always bright. 🐇

394-395: Ensure proper error handling for the forceful master update.

The change involves using the updateMasterToNewOneForcefully function to forcefully update the master server. This approach should be verified to ensure it doesn't introduce any unintended side effects, especially in cases where forceful updates might not be ideal.

Please verify that forcefully updating the master server won't cause issues in scenarios where the replication state might be inconsistent or in other edge cases.
