Debug toolbar is annoying to configure and we want to make sure that it's not installed/configured on live. If it's not part of the project template it's easier to make the mistake of putting it in the base settings.py instead of dev and local. I'd argue we want to keep that in the template. Also, I don't see why we wouldn't keep django-extensions and Werkzeug. |
