- The Homebrew
versionstap -brew tap homebrew/versions
Setup the homebrew/versions tap which has dependencies we need:
$ brew tap homebrew/versionsThen, run the following in your command-line:
$ brew tap henrytseng/homebrew-elasticsearchTo install ElasticSearch 1.5.2
$ brew install elasticsearch15To start the service
brew services start elasticsearch15To stop the service
brew services stop elasticsearch15And to check if the service is working
brew services listCheck for a reponse from
curl http://localhost:9200If you've installed another version of ElasticSearch make sure to unlink a previous version, depending on what version:
