We invest a lot of time developing, maintaining, and updating Ultra project. More sponsors allow us to dedicate more time to open source, which results in more awesome new features and project releases.

Working full-time on open source would be amazing, but I currently have to invest a lot of my time into other projects in order to pay the bills. The sponsor gets to request features, assign priority to features and the option of receiving credit in the documentation.

It's also possible to sponsor the writing of a technical paper on the software in question for presentation at a conference. The sponsor would be given credit in the presentation and in the paper, this helps give a positive image for the company and can also make people aware of the features of related products.
